Xiaomi’s EV Industry push: SU7 makes waves in China, eyes global expansion amid Tesla’s market moves
Lei Jun, Xiaomi’s founder, launched the SU7 EV cars, leveraging smartphone expertise in EV intelligence. Initially in China, SU7, with competitive pricing, delivered 30,000 units, now showcased in India targeting global expansion. Amid global EV sales stagnation, Jun eyes India for local manufacturing under EV policy, requiring Indian partners.
Comfortable and Smart Interior
The steering wheel, seats, instrument panel, and HUD in Xiaomi SU7 are arranged symmetrically around the central axis. The dashboard display greets you as you start the car, while the tri-spoke D-shaped steering wheel feels comfortable in your hands. There are two physical buttons on the steering wheel, one turns on smart driving and the other enables Boost mode for a convenient shortcut. Driving information on the expansive HUD is also clear at a glance.
Unmatched Performance
EVs with quick acceleration and high top speed are rare, but the Xiaomi SU7 excels in both.
It can also accelerate from 0 to 200km/h in just 10.67 seconds.
