This year, the CBSE has introduced several changes to improve the examination process for students. A significant change is a reduction in the number of short and long-response type questions, which aims to place greater emphasis on analytical and critical thinking skills.

Moreover, the weightage of internal assessments has been increased to now represent 40 percent of the total marks, while the remaining 60 percent will rely on board exams. Another crucial change is the establishment of a mandatory 75 percent attendance requirement for students, with allowances for exceptions in cases of illness, involvement in extracurricular activities, or other justified reasons.
