At the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati, Quinton de Kock led the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) to a resounding eight-wicket victory over the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the IPL 2025 match. De Kock persevered and came back undefeated on 97 off 61 balls, which included eight 4s and six 6s, after chasing a modest 152 on a difficult surface. Angkrish Raghuvanshi came back undefeated with 22 off 17 balls, while KKR skipper Ajinkya Rahane chipped in with 18 off 15 balls. Earlier, when KKR invited RR to bat, Sanju Samson and Yashasvi Jaiswal gave them a strong start.
But Vaibhav Arora’s casting of Samson for 13(11) ended the fireworks quickly. After that, a local youngster named Riyan Parag joined in, but Varun Chakaravarthy interrupted him when he and Moeen Ali totally destroyed Rajasthan in the middle overs. Chakaravarthy’s removal of Parag for 25 (15) was the first step. In the following over, Moeen then got rid of Yashasvi for 29(24). Rajasthan was reduced to 82/5 when the spinners combined to take four wickets, and they were unable to recover. Toward the end, Dhruv Jurel contributed 33(28) as Rajasthan managed to surpass 150.
