This anthology film centers on some of the most formidable warriors throughout human history as they confront Predators.
Late last year, Steve Asbell, the head of 20th Century Studios, made headlines when he disclosed to The Hollywood Reporter that the studio was releasing not one but two Predator films in 2025.
The first had already been unveiled: Predator Badlands, a live-action film directed by Dan Trachtenberg, known for Prey, featuring Elle Fanning. The second was a previously confidential project that has now been disclosed as Predator: Killer of Killers.
On Tuesday, 20th Century released the trailer along with a premiere date of June 6 on Hulu and Disney+.

According to the film’s summary, it is an “anthology story that follows three of the most formidable warriors in human history: a Viking raider leading her young son on a brutal quest for vengeance; a ninja in feudal Japan who betrays his Samurai brother in a fierce struggle for succession; and a WWII pilot soaring through the sky to confront an otherworldly threat to the Allied forces. However, while all these warriors are deadly in their own right, they become mere prey for a new adversary — the ultimate killer of killers.”
Trachtenberg teams up with Josh Wassung from the animation company The Third Floor to direct this film. The screenplay is penned by Micho Robert Rutare, based on a story he developed with Trachtenberg.
After directing Prey, the successful sleeper hit for Hulu featuring Amber Midthunder as an 18th-century Comanche woman facing off against a Predator, Trachtenberg has established himself as the leading creative force in the Predator franchise.
“Following the success of Prey, Dan [Trachtenberg] approached us and indicated he didn’t want to work on Prey 2,” Asbell shared with THR last year. “We asked him what he was interested in pursuing, and he listed several ideas that were quite imaginative and exciting. We decided to move forward on two of them.”
In addition, Trachtenberg is set to release the live-action Predator: Badlands in theaters on November 7, with the first look presented at CinemaCon last week, where an unexpected premise was introduced.“At CinemaCon, Fanning mentioned that something never seen before happens in this movie, and her character is not the target. “In fact, my character forms an alliance with the Predator, allowing us to see him in a completely different light.”
