“That’s a wrap on Masters of the Universe,” Galitzine shared on Instagram alongside a silhouette image. “It has been an honor to take on the responsibility of portraying Adam and He-Man. This has been a dream role for me, and I invested everything into it. I can’t reveal much, but I’m incredibly proud of the film we’ve created. A huge thank you to our fantastic cast and crew for all their effort.”
Along with Galitzine, the film, which was penned by Chris Buttler based on an initial draft by David Callaham, Aaron, and Adam Nee, features Camila Mendes as Teela, Alison Brie as Evil-Lyn, Jared Leto as Skeletor, Idris Elba as Duncan/Man-at-Arms, Sam C. Wilson as Trap Jaw, Hafthor Bjornsson as Goat Man, Kojo Attah as Tri-Klops, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson as Malcolm/Fisto, and Morena Baccarin as The Sorceress.
Masters of the Universe centers on 10-year-old Prince Adam, who arrives on Earth in a spaceship and loses his magical Power Sword—the sole connection to his home on Eternia. Almost two decades later, when he manages to retrieve it, Prince Adam is transported back across space to defend his home planet against Skeletor’s nefarious forces. However, to conquer such a formidable foe, Prince Adam must first uncover the secrets of his past and transform into He-Man, the mightiest man in the Universe.
This production by Escape Artists and Mattel Films is set to be released in theaters on June 5, 2026.
In the 1980s toy franchise and animated series, Castle Grayskull faces frequent assaults by Skeletor, Hordak, and the Snake Men, all of whom seek to unlock its secrets, believing that doing so will enable them to dominate Eternia and the entire universe, thus earning the title of Masters of the Universe. The castle plays a crucial role in He-Man’s transformation.
