Musk stated in a post on X, “We are currently experiencing a massive cyberattack against X. We face attacks daily, but this was executed with substantial resources. Involvement of a large, coordinated group and/or a nation is likely.”

X experiences three significant outages within a single day

This news comes as Downdetector has reported intermittent outages on X, affecting numerous users in the US, UK, India, and other global regions.

There have been three significant outages today; the first was identified around 3:30 PM IST, followed by another peak at 7:00 PM IST, and a third occurrence around 9:00 PM IST.

As per Downdetector’s findings, over 40,000 users worldwide have reported interruptions in service. According to their data, 56% of users are experiencing difficulties with the mobile app, while 33% are encountering issues on the website. An additional 11% have noted problems with server connectivity.

While some areas are beginning to see partial restoration of services, numerous users still struggle to access the platform. At the time of writing, certain X features, such as logging into accounts via both the app and website, as well as posting capabilities, have been restored in India.
