India Post GDS Recruitment 2024: Over 44,200 vacancies are open for online application till 5th August

In a notification, India Post, the country’s largest postal network service, has alerted recruitment of 44,228 vacancies for the position of Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS). Online applications for the jobs via indiapostgdsonline.gov.in are open from July 15 till August 5, 2024, it added.

Those employed will be appointed as Branch Postmaster (BPM) and Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM) / Dak Sevak for FY25. Salaries for the posts are as follows: ₹10,000-24,470 per month for ABPM / GDS; and ₹12,000-29,380 for BPM.

Steps to Apply for India Post GDS:

  1. Visit India Post’s official website and register yourself here – www.indiapostgdsonline.gov.in.
  2. You will need a mobile number and email ID to register with a password
  3. You will then need to pay an application fee to complete the online registration
  4. Once paid, you can apply online by selecting your choice from the Division and Exercise options.
  5. You will need to upload a photograph and digital signature before submitting the application as per the given format and size.
  6. You must also choose the Divisional Head of the division you’re applying, who will verify your documents in the later stage of recruitment.

Amazon’s 10th Prime Day event takes place this week and promises millions of deals across more than categories, including electronics, kitchen, apparel, fashion, and beauty.

The two-day summer sales event officially starts at 12:01 a.m. PDT on Tuesday, July 16, and runs through Wednesday, July 17, according to the company, but Prime members have access to early savings.

Certain brands such as Nordic Track, Poppi Prebiotic Sodas, and Hatch are already offering deals for the event, and certain influencers started dropping deals on various products on July 8.

“Prime Day is a celebration of the value we bring to members all year long, and features millions of deals across more than 45 product categories as well as discounts on Amazon Devices, quality entertainment, groceries, travel, and more during the event,” said Jamil Ghani, vice president of Amazon Prime.

Lautaro Martinez gave Argentina back-to-back Copa America titles and a third straight major tournament win with his extra time strike Sunday night.

Martinez scored his fifth goal of the tournament in the 112th minute for a 1-0 win over Colombia at Hard Rock Stadium. Martinez broke toward the Colombia goal and shot across the goal from the right to beat Colombia goalkeeper Camilo Vargas.

Martinez’s goal came just minutes after he entered the game in the 97th minute as part of a triple substitution for Argentina. His five goals led all scorers at Copa América and three of them came after he entered the game as a substitute.

Argentina played nearly half the game without Messi because of the extra 30-minute period after a 0-0 deadlock at the end of regulation.

Messi left the game in the 65th minute after he crumpled to the ground while chasing the ball. He seemed to know right away that he was injured. It didn’t take long for the bench to ready a replacement in the form of Nicolas Gonzalez.

Shannen Doherty has died after long years of living with cancer, PEOPLE has confirmed. She was 53 old.
“It is with a heavy heart that I confirm the passing of actress Shannen Doherty. On Saturday, July 13, she lost her battle with cancer after many years of fighting the disease,” Shannen’s longtime publicist Leslie Sloane confirmed in an exclusive statement to PEOPLE on Sunday, July 14.

“The devoted daughter, sister, aunt, and friend was surrounded by her loved ones as well as her dog. The family asks for their privacy at this time so they can grieve in peace,” Sloane continued.

The Beverly Hills star was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015 and spoke candidly to PEOPLE in November 2023 about her Stage 4 breast cancer, which had by then spread to her bones, saying at the time that she didn’t “want to die.”

The order books for Mercedes-Benz India’s all-electric G-Class, known as the “G 580 with EQ Technology,” are now available. With a quad-motor all-wheel drive system that can accelerate the three-ton SUV from 0 to 100 kmph in less than 5 seconds and all the off-road characteristics one would expect from a G-Class, the electric version of the iconic G-Wagon was debuted in April of this year.

The G 580 EV has minor cosmetic changes but keeps the boxy shape and dimensions of the regular G-Class. The most noticeable modification is at the front, where the conventional grille has been replaced with a closed-off panel in keeping with other Mercedes-Benz EVs.
