Skoda Kylaq: Tata-Maruti and Hyundai will compete together! This cool compact Skoda SUV is coming soon

The company will launch Skoda Kylaq in the market next year. The name matches Skoda’s traditional ICE SUV nomenclature, the company says, Which starts with ‘K’ and ends with ‘Q’.

The compact sport utility vehicle (SUV) segment has grown rapidly in the Indian market in the last few years. Sporty look, low price, and low maintenance with better mileage, this segment has attracted people towards itself. Skoda India has finally revealed the name of its new compact SUV after a long wait, The company has named this SUV ‘Skoda Kylaq’.

How will the new Skoda Kylaq be

This new compact SUV from Skoda will basically be based on the (MQB A0-IN) platform, which is the backbone of both Skoda and Volkswagen. This SUV can be launched with a 1.0-liter TSI turbo-petrol engine. This engine produces 115 PS power and 178 Nm generates torque. It is expected to be mated to 6-speed manual and automatic transmission.

The cabin of this SUV has a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple Car Play, a fully digital driver display, a Ventilated front seat, a wireless phone charger, and a sunroof can be provided. In terms of safety, it has 6 airbags as standard, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), a Tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and 360-degree camera may also be included.

Auto Sector hopes the company can launch this SUV in the market at a starting price of Rs 8.50 lakh.

Maintaining a fresh portfolio is problematic in a market with shorter model lifecycles. Since the introduction of the Kushaq SUV three years ago, Skoda Auto India’s yearly sales have more than doubled to nearly 53,700 vehicles. However, Skoda’s sales decreased to 48, 800 units over the previous calendar year, an almost 6% decline. The Czech automaker is getting ready to launch many new models in 2025.

It will introduce the second version of its flagship SUV, the Kodiaq, at the high end.The SUV is anticipated to launch in June of next year and will cost more than the present model. Since its premiere in India seven years ago, Skoda’s first seven-seater full-size SUV, the Kodiaq, has sold close to 10,000 units.
